Representing Alameda County Supervisorial District One —
Doris Green has been a part of the Fremont arts community for over 40 years as a dedicated volunteer and organizational leader with the Fremont Cultural Arts Council and the Bay Philharmonic. At the Fremont Cultural Arts Council, Doris served in many leadership roles including board president, fundraising chairperson, volunteer coordinator and facility manager. Throughout her years of service, Doris has supported the Arts Council’s mission to further the arts in the Fremont community. She has worked for many years developing support for a performing arts venue and dedicated spaces for nonprofit arts organizations in Fremont. As a musician and music teacher, Doris is also a strong supporter of the Bay Philharmonic (formerly the Fremont Symphony). She served on the board and as board president of both the Bay Philharmonic and its Guild which supports the Bay Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and brings music to diverse communities in Fremont, throughout Alameda County and beyond. Doris Green is a resident of Fremont.
